Stockmann Metropolis Department Store is about to be completed in Moscow

The finishing work for Stockmann department store, which is being built in the Metropolis shopping mall under construction in Moscow, will soon be completed, and the erection of the client’s equipment has been started. The developer of the shopping mall aims to have the mall opened in the beginning of December 2008. |

Kimberly-Clark builds its first production plant in Stupino
|
Kimberly-Clark, a leading global health and hygiene company with well-known family care and personal care brands such as Kleenex, Huggies, Kotex, Scott, Pull-Ups, Depend and sales of $18.3 billion in 2007 , has contracted Quattrogemini for the construction of its first manufacturing facility in Russia. The construction site is located in Stupino, some 100 kilometers south from Moscow.
The contract, the biggest Quattrogemini has concluded in paper industry sector, so far includes site works and erection of buildings for production, storages and offices with mechanical and electrical services, as well as installation of various process piping networks. The project will be managed by Moscow branch staff, which will be strengthened with specialist site engineers from Helsinki.
Industrial projects of this magnitude in Russia are always demanding and offer many challenges, but Finland has a long tradition in construction of paper industry, and Quattrogemini has even in our own ranks several engineers with experience in this field. |

Logistics project in St. Petersburg

Quattrogemini Ltd. has signed a contract with OOO Obuhovo , Russian subsidiary of Kiilto Oy, for a logistics centre to be built on design & build basis in the village of Bugry in Leningrad region. The logistics centre will be situated at the immediate vicinity of St. Petersburg ring road. Besides warehouse, facilities for office, product demonstration and training will be built. The floor area will be appr. 5,400 m2, and the commercial operations will commence in November 2009. |

Handing over of the cement mill silo in Latvia

Approximately 70 m high cement mill homogenizing silo, built by Quattrogemini Ltd. using slip-forming method, has been handed over to the customer, SIA Cemex company in Brocen, Latvia, on the 26th of May, 2008.
Customer’s representatives gave Quattrogemini special credit for high quality of work, execution on schedule, and for assertive management of occupational safety engineering. |

Quattrogemini as general contractor of Stockmann Metropolis

ZAO Kalinka Stockmann has chosen Quattrogemini Ltd. as its general contractor to execute the fit-out, mechanical and electrical works of Stockmann Metropolis department store to be built in Moscow. This is already the fourth department store Quattrogemini together with its mechanical and electrical daughter company Quattroservices, will build for Stockmann in Moscow. The total floor area of the project is appr. 8,250 square metres.

Topping out ceremonies in Zvenigorod, Moscow region
|
The new Valio Customer Service Center is about to be completed in Zvenigorod, Moscow region. The topping out ceremonies took place on March 18, 2008.
The project consists of a main building with manufacturing area, cold storehouses and office rooms together with technical rooms and buildings which serve the plant.
General director of Valio Odintsovo LLC, Raul Lönnqvist, said in his main speech at the topping off ceremonies that 100 years have passed since Valio “set out to Russia”. The project is Valio’s biggest investment outside home market so far. |

Quattro Group won a major hospital contracts in Helsinki

Rakennusgemini Oy, a subsidiary of Quattrogemini, has signed a contract to build the new Western General Emergency Hospital in Helsinki, and Quattroservices Oy, another subsidiary of Quattrogemini, will execute the electrotechnical work for the project. The construction work has already been started, and the object will be ready in June 2009. The building area is 11 775 m2 and 56 350 m3.

Altogether 6 new Seppälä and Bestseller stores will be erected in Russia by the end of November 2007. The total area of the stores will be approximately 3500 square metres. Seppälä stores will be opened in Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Samara and Ufa, and Bestseller stores in Novosibirsk and Samara.

Grand Opening of Stockmann Mega 3 Department Store
|
The grand opening of Stockmann Mega 3 department store was celebrated on St. Valentine’s Day in Moscow. The floor area of the department store is appr. 12,000 m2, and it is the third fit-out project for Stockmann by Quattrogemini in Moscow. The department store is situated at the shopping center of IKEA-MEGA, where Quattrogemini carried out the interior design work for Seppälä and Vero Moda stores as well. |

BAT trusts Quattrogemini with two more jobs |
British American Tobacco, whose logistics facilities we completed last year in St. Petersburg, has recognized our competitiveness, quality of work and timeliness of execution with award of two more contracts to Quattrogemini Ltd. Both projects include design and construction of certain buildings and infrastructure.
Some 9000 of new floor area will be added to existing production facilities In St. Petersburg by the end of January next year. The other similar project in Saratov is slightly bigger, nearly 10.000 square metres. It will be built on concrete piles, and takes couple of more months to complete. |

The fitting-out works at Kulon logistic center have been compleated. Quattrogemini completed the contract with Stockmann on schedule on March 30, 2006.

Toyota: Soil Construction Contract |
Removal of soil in the construction site will be finished until the end of year 2005.
There will remain minor amounts of ditch, road and utilities work.
The extent of the construction site is 54 hectares. The heaping area of soil and turf is 27 hectares wide.

Sakhalin: Completed except the Final Clearance |
The Sakhalin construction site work finished in August 2005 and the demobilization of the site got completed in November 2005. It will take until March 2006 to have the final clearance done.

BAT: Opening Ceremony |
The opening ceremony was held on 18th November 2005 at the BAT construction site with the presence of BAT Management and municipal authorities.
The entire building including additional and modification works has been handed over to the content client.

Toyota: Soil Construction Contract |
The construction contract of Toyota Car Assembling Plant in 56 hectares’ lot contains of mass change for building and road areas. There is 0.5 million cubic meters turf and soil to be excavated.
The amount of filling work is of the same magnitude. There will be built 2 kilometers of crushed gravel covered roads. Drainage ditches will be excavated for about 3 kilometers and the length of the fences will be over 4 kilometers.
The work will be carried out as non-stop shift work; so the job will require plenty of supervision resources. |

BAT: Finishing works are well under away |
Important milestone date was met on September 2, 2005, when first part of Logistics Centre storage area was taken into the trial use. ICT server rooms were earlier handed over to Client.
Logistics Centre construction works are in schedule and in the connection building finishing works are progressing well. Parking and loading areas asphalting works will be completed by the end of this week.
MEP works are also progressing well and commissioning of MEP systems will start this week.
The total number of workers on site peaked 240. |

PA-B arrived to it´s final destination and the installation of the platform started.

BAT: Roofing ceremony |
The BAT Logistics Centre Project reached an important milestone on May 26th when the roofing ceremony took place. The construction team together with BAT Russia's and Quattrogemini's top management as well as key city officials enjoyed an entertainment program together with traditional Finnish roofing ceremony menu that was well received by the audience. |

BAT: construction works |
BAT construction works are progressing according to the schedule.
The temporary heating is on at Area 1. Area 2 walls and roof works will be completed by the end of April. Mechanical and electrical works have also commenced.

Sakhalin: Casting base filled up by water
|
Another milestone was reached in Sakhalin II project, when the sea water was let to flow slowly into the dry dock starting Saturday evening April 16, 2005.
During the next six weeks LUN-A will be prepared for the 1000 nautical miles long sea voyage – mechanical installation will be completed and all caisson compartments will be subject to water tightness tests. |

Same sequence of works will be repeated with PA-B, which is scheduled to depart Nakhodka harbour area one month after LUN-A in the beginning of August, 2005.
Removal of the bund-wall and dredging of the towing route out of the dry dock will star early Saturday morning on April 23, 2005. |

Roof and external wall works are progressing well, thus area 1 will be completed by March 25th, enabling the temporary heating to be commenced. | Sakhalin: Pouring of concrete completed in Nakhodka |
Nearly 10 months of uninterrupted casting of concrete was completed yesterday, when the last shaft of the PA-B substructure reached its top height. Practically all of the 63.500 cubic meters of concrete are in place, and the next major task is the completion of the already ongoing installation of main mechanical out-fittings.

All the shafts will be surrounded around the water level by ice shields made of special steel plates fixed to the concrete by mechanical devices and by epoxy glue. The vertical post-tensioning of all the eight shafts will also be completed over the next two months.
Flooding the dry dock and dredging of the bund wall will take place in May, and the two substructures will be towed out to their respective offshore locations some 1000 nautical miles from Nakhodka one in June and the other one in July 2005. |

| CESLA: Quattro to erect cooling tower for Cement Plant |
Quattrogemini Ltd has signed a four month contract with OJSC SLANTCY CEMENT PLANT “CESLA” , a local venture by Atlas Nordic Cement, which belongs to the Heidelberg Cement Group.
The contract includes erection of a 60 meters high cooling tower and related gas and cooling pipes with thermal insulation (totalling 1600 sq.m), 28 tons of steel structures for dust filter, blowers and belt transporters. In addition of construction of accessory buildings and mechanical installation of mentioned process equipment delivered by the client, Quattrogemini will be in charge of electrical works and provision of air-conditioning requirements. |

We are designing and building a new, approx 30 000m2 logistics centre, together with associated office and other space, for British American Tobacco at its production plant in St. Petersburg. The 12-metre-high logistics centre, equipped with the latest IT and mechanical and electrical services, located in the Primorsky industrial area of St. Petersburg, is due to be commissioned in September 2005.
